Please ensure your census data, whether uploaded manually or through integration, includes only US-based employees, as we currently support only US employees.
Follow these instructions to set up an integration between HiBob and Cocoon, which will allow Cocoon to automatically pull in relevant employee data into our platform.
Note: this integration does not enable Cocoon to push employee leave or pay data back to HiBob.
Step-by-step Instructions
1. In Cocoon Dashboard, navigate to “Settings” > “HR & Payroll”. Under “HR System”, you’ll see a “Set up integration” button.
2. Click the “Set up integration” button and you’ll be shown a modal that will ask you to read through and accept Cocoon’s Terms of Service.
3. Once you accept, you’ll be shown the Merge Link modal, which displays what exactly Cocoon will pull from HiBob.
4. Once you click “Continue”, you’ll be taken to a screen in the modal where you’re directed to either integrate via your HiBob Token and User ID or via your API Key and Access Token. Both approaches will create the “link” needed between Cocoon and HiBob through Merge.
A) If you select HiBob Token and UserID, you’ll be shown the following screen with instructions on how to find this information on your HiBob account. It will also link to a resource Merge provides to show the exact steps you’ll need to go through to setup your User ID and Token for HiBob.
B) If you select API Key, you’ll be shown the following screen with instructions on how to find this information on your HiBob account. It will also link to a resource Merge provides to show the exact steps you’ll need to go through to setup your API key in HiBob.
Congratulations! You have now integrated your HRIS provider with Cocoon! No further action is needed on your end, Cocoon will now produce census files from the data pulled from your provider - an automatic sync will occur weekly to produce a new, accurate census file.
If you see an error, review the instructions to obtain the API key. If the issue persists, please contact Cocoon at [email protected].
