To add your company holidays, admins can navigate to the Cocoon dashboard, click “Settings” and then click “Company Holidays”.
From there you will select “Add Holiday” which will prompt you to complete these fields:
Holiday Name
Start Date
End Date (End date can be the same as the start date for 1 day holidays)
Additionally, you are asked to choose how employees should be paid if company holidays overlap with paid leave time. There are two options:
Leave of Absence Policy: Employees will be compensated in accordance with the employer's existing leave policy for the type of leave they are on. For example, unpaid leave will remain unpaid, while paid leave will continue to be paid.
Holiday Pay: The employer's leave policy will not apply during the holiday, and employees will be compensated specifically for the holiday.
Note: Holidays can only be changed once per year. Once the holiday start date has passed the holiday can not be edited or removed
