Enabling manager accounts
To grant managers access to the Manager Dashboard, Workspace Admins must first enable Manager accounts in the Cocoon Settings page.
Manager account access
Manager information is pulled directly from your census. If a Manager is not listed in the census, they will not have access to the Manager Dashboard.
Only Managers with Cocoon accounts (i.e. they have created an account and logged in before) will appear in the manager account list in your Admin Dashboard.
Listed under each manager are their direct reports. Only employees who have submitted a leave will appear here.
How do Managers access their dashboards?
First, Managers must create an employee account in Cocoon
From there, they will click the drop down menu next to their name and choose ‘Switch to Manager view’
What can managers see?
Cocoon has intentionally chosen to show information that helps Managers best support their team and remove HR as a bottleneck, while also ensuring employee privacy.
When they log into Cocoon, Managers will see a list all submitted leaves for their direct reports only
They can click into any employee to see more leave details, including:
Their leave type, location, and full leave timeline
Which laws or policies cover their leave
Which parts of their leave are paid, partially paid, or unpaid
Managers can also easily access our dedicated resource library from their Cocoon Dashboard.
Manager vs. Admin account access
If a manager is also an Admin, their Admin Dashboard access will override their Manager Dashboard access
The Admin Dashboard contains all the information from the Manager Dashboard plus additional employer-level insights
