Employee pay during leave can be extremely complex. Cocoon simplifies the process by surfacing employee-level pay data for Workspace and Pay admins.

To view employee-level pay data, navigate to the ‘Leaves’ tab of your employer dashboard.

  • Click on an employee’s name to open their leave record

  • You’ll see two tabs: Leave details and Pay details. Toggle to Pay details to view the Pay Tracker and Pay Insights

Employee Pay Tracker

This is what we surface to your employees after they submit their leave. Within this Pay Tracker, you can view the trajectory of employee pay throughout their leave, as well as what they can expect from each pay source.

Click on a bar to reveal details about that pay period – including pay from their employer, any estimations from other benefit sources, and total pay.

Pay Insights

This is only visible to admins. With Pay Insights, you can dig into more granular pay data for each employee.

  • View individual employee pay across pay periods, broken down across regular pay, leave pay, and deductions

  • Download all leave pay information for an employee with a single click in the top right of the table

Past pay

View past pay information in the ‘Past’ tab. By clicking the ‘Details’ button you can see more data on the calculations for each period, including the number of days in each period, daily rates, and total pay.

Review adjustments in this tab as well. Open the details to see the reason for the adjustment (e.g. a leave data change) and the impacted pay period(s). We’ll also surface a link that takes you back to that impacted period if you’d like to review it.

Upcoming pay

Toggle over to ‘Upcoming’ to view pay projections for this employee’s leave. Please note that these are projections only based on the current leave plan and benefit estimates and are subject to change.
