Submitting a New Leave vs Editing an Existing Leave

This article will walk employees through the difference between submitting a new leave and editing their existing leave.

Submitting or Editing a Leave After 30 Days from the Previous Leave End Date


If more than 30 days have passed since the end date of your previous leave, you will see the "Create a new plan" button.

Steps to Create a New Leave:

  1. Click on 'Create a new plan'.

  2. Follow the prompts to set up your new leave plan.

Steps to Edit an Existing Plan:

  1. Click on 'Edit plan'.

  2. Click 'Continue'

  3. Click 'Edit my current leave'

Submitting or Editing a Leave Less Than 30 Days After the Previous Leave Ended

If less than 30 days have passed since your previous leave ended, you will only see the 'Edit plan' button. From there, you'll be guided through the process to either update the current leave or start a new one.

Steps to Create a New Leave Plan:

  1. Click on 'Edit Plan'.

  2. A warning will appear after selecting 'Edit Plan'.

3.Click 'Continue'.

4.The following option will appear:

5. Choose the option to create a new leave.

Steps to Edit the Current Leave:

  1. Click 'Edit Plan'.

  2. A warning will appear after selecting 'Edit Plan'.

3.Click 'Continue'.

4.The following option will appear:

5.Select 'Edit my current leave'.

6.If the leave is still ongoing, only the option to edit your current plan will be available, as shown below:
