Submitting a New Leave vs Editing Existing Leave

This article will walk employees through the difference between submitting a new leave and editing their existing leave.

Submitting or Editing a Leave More Than 30 Days After the Previous Leave Ended

If it has been more than 30 days from the end date of the previous leave, you will have the Create a new plan button:

Steps to take to create a new leave:

  1. Press ‘Create a new plan’

  2. Go through the flow to model the new leave plan

Steps to take to edit the existing plan:

  1. Press 'Edit plan'

  2. Press 'Continue'

  3. Press 'Edit my current leave'

Submitting or editing a leave less than 30 days after the previous leave ended

If has been less than 30 days since the end date of the previous leave, you will only have the edit plan button and will go through the flow shown below of choosing to update the current leave or start a new one.

Steps to take to create a new leave plan:

  1. Press ‘Edit Plan’

  2. After hitting "edit plan", this warning pops up:

3. Press ‘Continue

4. This option will pop up:

5. Select the option to create a new leave.

Steps to take to edit the current leave

  1. Press ‘Edit Plan’

  2. After hitting "edit plan", this warning pops up:

3. Press ‘Continue

4. This option will pop up:

5. Press 'Edit my current leave'

6. If the leave is still ongoing, you will only have the option to edit your current plan as shown here:
