We recognize there can be a lot of changes when it comes to returning from a medical leave. Whether a medical provider has recommended an extension or an employee is intending to return as planned, Cocoon reaches out to an employee to confirm their return to work so their employer can stay up to date on their status.

Employees on medical leave receive an email 1 week before their leave ends, asking them to confirm the end of their leave. Employees receive a second reminder email on their last day of leave. Both emails prompt an employee to update their leave plan if anything has changed.

Reminder email #1

[Action required] Confirm the end of your leave

Hi User First Name,

Your leave is set to end on MM/DD/YYYY.

Employer is preparing for your return to work. If your plans have changed, please update your plan accordingly so we can notify them of any changes. If your return to work date has not changed, there is no action needed.

Please reach out to [email protected] if you have questions or need help at any time.

Thank you,

The Cocoon team

Reminder email #2

[Action required] Confirm your return to work

Hi User First Name,

Your leave is set to end today, which means Employer is expecting your return to work on the next business day.

If your plans have changed and you will not be returning to work, please update your leave dates so we can notify Employer as soon as possible. If your leave dates are accurate, there’s no action needed.

Please reach out to [email protected] if you have questions or need help at any time.

Thank you,

The Cocoon team
