Cocoon now has the capability to automatically pull relevant employee data from ADP Workforce Now® . The integration is available for shared customers through Cocoon's app listing on ADP's Marketplace. To enable the integration follow this step by step guide.
Note: this integration does not enable Cocoon to push employee leave or pay data back to ADP.
1. In order to enable this integration, you'll need both a Practitioner account in ADP’s system and an Admin account in Cocoon's system (see instructions here for how to set-up an Admin account in Cocoon if you don’t yet have one). Make sure you have those accounts before proceeding with the rest of this guide.
2. Enabling the integration is done via the ADP Marketplace. Begin by heading over to the ADP Marketplace via this URL and logging in with the credentials of your ADP Practioner account. The login button can be seen on the top right of the screen.
3. After you’ve logged into the ADP Marketplace, use this link to see Cocoon's app listing. Once there, click the Buy Now button.
Note: if you did not log into ADP as described in Step 2, you will see a "Sorry, we couldn't find it." message on the screen
4. On the following screen you'll need to enter 2 additional pieces of information before continuing on, your Cocoon URL and a Discount Code.
Cocoon URL
Begin by clicking the "+" icon next to "Cocoon Financial Services, Inc. requires additional information."
That will launch a new pop up form which will ask for you "Cocoon URL".
To find this URL, in a separate window log into the Cocoon app with your Admin account and head over to the settings page. You can access it by clicking "Settings" in the top right, or by going directly to https://app.cocoon.com/admin/settings. Once there, click on the "copy" icon next to you "Cocoon URL". This will copy the Cocoon URL to your clipboard.
Back on the ADP screen, paste that value in the form and click "Save details"
Discount Code
You’ll need to enter a discount code to avoid being charged the $40 per month ADP typically charges for integrations. This fee is waived for existing Cocoon customers.
The discount code is CocoonADP100
After entering the discount code, hit the Apply button followed by the Next button. You should see two the screens shown below.
5. Accept the terms and conditions and click Complete Purchase
6. After completing the purchase, you’ll be taken to a screen with a link to Manage Consent for the Cocoon app. In order for Cocoon to pull employee data from ADP, you’ll need to give ADP consent to share that information. Click the Manage Consent button as shown below to go to ADP’s Consent Manager portal.
7. You should see a listing for "Cocoon Connector". Click the MANAGE button next to that listing.
8. Click ALLOW to grants ADP permission to share your employee data with Cocoon
9. After clicking allow, the Cocoon listing should now be in the Allowed Authorizations section of the Consent Manager portal.
You’re done! At this point Cocoon can start pulling your census data automatically. No more manual uploads required!
